Subject: Most of the motor lease deals alone cost 1.2Million to 2 Million a year just to lease a motor! Figure at least $135,000 for the latest and greatest Haas car as a roller and you have not even bought the Rig to get to the races in. In today's times and money real world dollars to be competitive in Pro Stock is 3.5 Million up to 5 Million. People like Greg Anderson is spending over 10 Million a year for his 2 car team. 2 Million won't get you out of your shop driveway. I know that Roger B. is working on some deals for 2009 and hope that he gets back into it, if he can get the funding to do it the right way he will be back.
In reply to: TS fan 's message, "Heres the deal. Brogdon thought he had secured sponsorship last year with some roofing company. After 3 races out of his pockets Brogdon found out that it wasn't easy to do out of pocket. He pulled the plug and went back to sportsman racing. I don't blame him. It cost 2 million to campaign a Pro Stock car that can go rounds. Not 1.5 as stated above. Its not cheap to be in the spotlight." on Saturday, March 22, 08:17:01pm

[> [> [> [> Let's talk about the lease program. Reher Morrison coundnt compete so they stated their own leasing program. Nobody runs Reher Morrison in Pro Stock even though they have a reputable name in Sportsman racing. That in itself shoul tell you how hard it is to run in Pro Stock. Yet those that want to bash Nickens really know that he is doing it. Naiser would be another DNQ in Pro Stock. -- Nicken Power under my hood too, Sunday, March 23, 01:27:31pm [1]

[> [> [> [> [> This is just my opinion but if Jeff Naiser ever wanted to do a Pro Stock Motor Program I think given some time for R&D that he could build a 500 c.i. motor that could qualify against the big boys, however, even when you do your own motor program you will spend 3 Million just to do your own in house motors, Jeff is a savey business guy as well and where is the ROI on that kind of investment, Reher & Morrison stepped aside when Bruce Allen retired again smart business move same as Jeff & they can build sportsman motors and outlaw motors and at least make something. Just smart business. It takes some serious dollars not only to do a engine lease program but also to build your own motors in house. I am rooting for Shane & Lamar also hope that they can make the fields at the races they enter, Taylor has stepped up his investment and jumping to run Pro Stock. If you win a PowerBall Lotto then you could afford to go Pro Stock Racing (until the money runs out...LOL) -- Nick Tha P...., Sunday, March 23, 05:11:38pm [1]

[> [> [> [> [> [> Naiser would be just like Jeffery Bailey. Spend millions on a ProStock program and never qualify. It takes many together to make a team work. Nickens surrounds himself with an arsenal of professionals that have life long experience in a certain field of the Pro Stock operations. You cannot get people like that out of the phone book either. Taylor Lastor is another wannabe. He will never fill his dads shoes either. -- someone that knows, Sunday, March 23, 11:06:33pm [1]
