  • Fill the cooking pot to the 1/2 mark with peanut oil. Bring the heat up to 350 and slowly put the turkey in the pot. (Jeff's post about the welding gloves is exactly the way to do it) Cook 2 minutes per pound at 350-375. Pull it out and eat like a king!!! We did 37 a couple of weeks ago in 5 hours. I know you can do it but make sure you are outside away from anything that can burn. And do not add water to the oil!!!!!! LOL I am sick of turkey and ham.     • It's really simple. HMP has a moron running the track that thinks VHT will get traction at the starting line. It will get traction but if you don't spray the entire track, the cars will spin out when they decellerate HMP stops spraying before the finish line. Go to any National event and look at how far they spray VHT. That will answer your question. Another thing is the ground faults under the track at HMP where water continues to weep on the track. Another issue is the trees, leaves and debris. Not to mention the unskilled, undocumented workers that are at HMP. I quit going there a year ago. • One day I dropped Richard off at the parts house and I snuck over to Dairy Queen and scarfed down 3 banana splits, went back to pick him up and I had ice cream and reminents of the banana split all over my shirt and he said "what happened to you?" I said "what?". • That is very sad indeed! Dennis used to be my next door neighbor years ago and every weekend on Saturday and Sunday mornings I was awakened to the sound of a hot rod being revved up to about 9000 RPMS! I made a mistake of riding in one of the first River Rat Cars. I was over at Dennis house and he was tuning on a old yellow 67 or 68 Camaro with a high winding small block with 2 Fours sticking out through the hood.We made a quick trip across the river bridge in Plum Grove TX. As soon as Dennis clicked 2nd gear the Camaro got really squirrely and we were headed for the guardrail,Dennis let out of the throttle till it straightened up then HIT IT HARD AGAIN and by then clicked 3rd gear! All I remember was praying not to hit the guard rail and wind up in the river below! When we got back to the house I crawled out of that car and told Dennis ! I WOULD NEVER RIDE WITH HIM AGAIN! • Continued.......At this point they developed an airtight diaper type apparatus, with many, many chambers with one way only flaps, kind of like check valves. The kicker was each chamber would compress the gas before it would move to the next and by the time it reached the last chamber it would be in a solid form. It was simply amazing. He said that this one breakthrough would cut our natural resource consumption by 75% in the next five years. I was just numb at the news. I asked how the participant was doing and who he was. Well of course they wouldn’t tell me his name but said that he is doing well and was on an out-patient type program. He did tell me that he got the biggest kick out of the guy though.   • Continued......When he would come in to get his diaper changed, they would have to give him a mild sedative because it was apparently quite painful when they peeled the diaper off. Seems when the sedative started to take effect, the guy would ask each person that walked by to “pull my finger” or “Could you please braid my nose hair for me”…..LOL!!! Funny stuff for sure. My buddy said that the patient would be getting a rather large sum of money for his participation and that he wanted to buy a race car one day with some of his royalties.
