I would be in favor of a more democratic method of structure.

I think the leaders, ect, who run the guild, should be elected and serve terms. They should be able to have campaigns, ect, and have periodic elections, for example every 3 months.

This allows a couple of things. Number one, the person who is leading is always willing to do so. If they become unwilling their term is only 3 months long, and can choose nto to run for re-election.

Bad leaders will not be elected again. Good leaders will be. The people will speak for themselves of who has done well, and who should just enjoy the gamming portion of the guild, and leave the politics at home.

Posistions will have to determined. For example, we could have a Council of leaders (Even call it the KoRT if we want) which could consist of 2-4 members who serve as the leaders of the guild, for the term.

Secondary posistions can be elected. IE Security Group, Webmaster, Roster Keeper, Herald Keeper, ect ect.

This also allows those people who are in the jobs to have an outlet. And it allows other people a chance to obtain a job they are well qualified for.

As for Ranks/merits.

I am under the belief that with this ranking system, the best idea would to be to give titles, such as Knight, Noble, Page, Squire, Initiate to members as they earn them. As a reward. Plus, other rewards should be awarded on the basis of peer recommendation. Also, there should be some game based awards. Class Mastery, Killing Diablo or Baal on hell difficulty. Triple Crown (If that ever comes into play again.... aka Tri-Level Mastery in Diablo II it would be a Pentonic Crown... i think and for LoD a Sept... Crown of something... ) Plus maybe award points, ect, that could be used for something... who knows. And then SC awards, for certain rankings, and such. Plus maybe a P V P award for the Reigning PVP Champion. (THe webmaster may have to be busy for this one)

Well, those are my ideas. I hope that wasnt' too long.
