There was a darkness about the man �one that very few would notice, although it was quite clear that he thoroughly enjoyed the battlefield. His silver optics took notice of anything that moved, no matter if it was friend or foe; in times of war, one could never be too cautious. The stallion he rode maneuvered in and out of the area with ease despite his great size, although Kieran was merely scouting. The catapults and ballistas were firing endlessly at the castle, so the army had yet to be released for the attack.

Then he saw a man, knowing that it was not France�s own, and immediately sending his horse to face the unknown warrior. Kieran gave a small sneer�was this man foolish enough to walk into the battle grounds alone? Or was this a trap? Kieran halted the stallion several feet away from the man, preparing to grasp his katars at any given second.
