Nowadays, I much prefer ebooks. I've be reading (re-reading in many cases) Charles Dickens. Bleak House or David Copperfield is so much easier - and lighter - to carry around on my Clie than in book form. Mind you, I've never had to re-charge a paperback! Also, if you are into classics, many are available free - can't get cheaper than that! With bright, clear screens and adjustable font sizes, reading on a modern PDA is no harder on the eyes than paper. Another thing I've noticed over the last 18 months is how much more I read these days: the half-hour on the bus to work; a few minutes at lunch break; the odd quiet time in the evening. And, with sites such as ereader.com and fictionwise around it is really easy finding new fiction - look out for the special offers, you can pick up some real bargains! It's ebooks for me.

I'm one of those people who has always enjoyed reading from a physical paper, whether it be newspaper, magazines, books, etc. There's something about it that I really can't place. I actually enjoy the layout of the newspaper compared to the format on the internet sites, but, even in digital format when they've presented in the same layout, is not the same.
I guess I just enjoy the ability to just pick it up and read whatever part that I wish to read, with respect to a newspaper or magazine. With a book, I'm one of those who sometimes like to read the last page (kind of like Harry Burns from Harry met Sally). And sometimes, I tend to want to figure out how many pages I have before the end of a chapter. I hate stopping at mid chapter. And reading ebook on the Palm just doesn't seem like the real thing.
But it is very nice and convenient to be able to carry the entire book in your Palm, or even several books. Imagine carrying several heavy books with you everywhere. There's the convenience of an ebook. I'm not a heavy book reader, but rather enjoy audio book instead, since I can listen to a book during my spare time. I can easily close my eyes, and relax while still listening to an audio book. Not so with an ebook. I have to concentrate on reading the words. I find it much less stressful, especially at the end of the day to listen to my Audible. So, I'm not really into ebooks, but more audio books. But ebooks are very nice to have.
