In reply to: Edo Ikari 's message, "Madness indeed" on 19:38:30 11/18/03 Tue

Kurax and Edo followed Klux and Ian, walking through the rain-endrenched cobble courtyard. Even through the haze of the volumous rain, Ikari could see during the flashes of lighting that Ian was clearly unhappy about the goings on. He walked shoulders hunched, like a man marching to the Gallows.

Kurax himself was still in a grumble when they reached the heavy oaken front door. The door itself was a nightmarish testament to hard times... notches riddled it's dark wood, and what appeared to be large splotches of blood had long since stained it's color. Heavy metal bands were attached across it - some from it's creation, some obviously added (or disturbingly, and somehow Ikari knew, had grown there) on later. The massive door swung in before they reached it's threshhold, and the two bounty hunters and their 'prey' walked through.

Once inside, two immediate sensations hit the Bushi Warrior. The first was the feeling of gloom... both an overall sense, and something that seemed whispered on the edge of his mind - Like the remnant of a nightmare seconds after awaking. The second was a feeling that his mind could only call "Dulling". Not necissarily Banality - but some other affect that played at his glamour - some malcontent force was tugging at it, messing with it, (dulling it?) altering it... The Dulling was a sensation he'd never experienced before, and immediately his keen senses saught to discover it's depth. Using all he knew to Ken the surroundings, he saw with the third eye direct to the nature of the dreaming - and the surroundings (including those now walking through it) seemed drastically altered. To his suprise, and likely to his chagrin, Kenning in this fashion showed that the dreaming in this part as well as everything in it seemed melted... slowed... soupish. Yes, soupish. It looked as if - though they walked and moved normally - the dreaming were a sluggish soup here... that the very energy fields in this place had the consistency of oatmeal. As to the affects this had on glamour, arts, and other useful things he couldn't even begin to guess.

There was one queer thing, even amongst this chaos, as he kenned: His sword (though hidden) - glowed a brighter hue here. Around it, forces swirled and tangled, like tadpoles in a feeding frenzy. These spirits phased in and out of the blade... growing bright and dim, bright and dim... unyeilding in their attention to it. As peculiar as this representation was, it brought a soothing sense of mind to him. It was one of the more calming things that he'd ever experienced, and it was almost sedative - were it not for the obvious fact that this also seemed to heighten his senses.

Yes, for Good or Ill, things were definately peculiar. Ikari relaxed his third eye, and his vision returned to normal. His sword was still well hidden, but the disturbing senses - as well as the wonderful one from the blade - did not leave him.

The four walked directly down one hall - a wide hall, decorated with dismal paintings of seemingly positive images, but that provoked a vast and disturbing array of unsettling secondary meanings. In all the eyes of the painted, torment shone through their false smiles.

A good distance down this walk-way (in which many doors branched off of), there was another set of double doors. Slightly more inviting were these than the outer onces, but none-the-less dreadful.
