Elaine stood to lean against the doorframe, looking unimpressed but mostly because of her fatigue. She looks him over, brushing more wisps of hair off her damp forehead.

'You'll have to pay my wage while ya have me- and give a good story to my father why you'd be taking me from work.' She offers a hint of a smile, the prospect of a cool drink and a rest flavoured well by who was offering. He was quite handsome.

'What say? You think you have the meddle?' She smiles.
