With all the problems with viruses, I've seen where cookies are being used to gather information by "the bad guys". How do I find/check cookies I may have on my computer, is it a good idea to remove them, and if so, how do I do that. Thanks for any suggestions/information.

[> Ed, I'm not sure how technical you are (inside) -- rmhlrkr, 20:44:06 02/08/10 Mon [1]

Try this link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_cookies

There's a lot of information about cookies as well as many references at the end you can check out. Hope this helps.

[> Depending on which browser you use, you can check options and see what cookies you have. Virtually every website writes a cookie. You can make it so you only get cookies from sites you actually went to as opposed to third party ones. With Firefox, it's under Tools/Options/Privacy. With Internet Explorer its Tools/Internet Options/General/settings. -- judi, 20:18:30 02/10/10 Wed [1]
