Subject: Inside for a few places
In reply to: Carrotts 's message, "Along this line - anyone know of a good place to get an iPod fixed? I have a nano that will play for a few seconds and then quit. It was just over a year old when it died so I hear Apple won't fit it." on 10:44:01 05/16/07 Wed

I purchased a book called the "iPod Missing Manual", in the section Finding an iPod repair shop it lists these 3 sites (I checked to make sure they are still active sites)

Apple has an iPod service request at http://depot.info.apple.com/ipod
This site gives several suggestion on solving iPOD problems before you send it in for repair.

iPodResQ Service (www.iresq.com/ipod)

TechRestore computer repair site has a Pod hospital http://ipod.techrestore.com

As with any web service, don't know how reliable any of them are.

Also two web sites for latest iPod news, they might have repair info or links.

iLounge (www.iLounge.com)
iPodNN( www.ipodnn.com)

Good Luck
