Subject: I know that some some web sites, in particular ones with fanfiction, that are no longer active can be found on something called the wayback machine. What is it and how does it work?

[> Go to www.archive.org Right in the top middle of the page is the "way back machine". Type the www part of the address after the http:// that is already there, then hit the "Take me back" button. You will then see a menu of each version of the archives of that page, sorted by date. Click on the date you want to see, and there you go: back in time!
