Subject: And now . . . a little Irish Folk Music

Here is a classic Irish folksong. I am familiar with many more because I know some Civil War re-enactors and they have been performing around the area. All funds raised go to preserve historic Civil War sites. They have several Irish members as well as others. They have "adopted" the Pennsylvania Irish 69th and have done such things as replace or provide headstones for the graves of those Irish who fought in our Civil War.

This link is a commercial group called the Irish Rovers. You need RealPayer to hear it.

Whiskey In The Jar by The Irish Rovers

(P.S. You won't see any French music posted here.)

[> I have also seen The Young Dubliners perform. A bit loud for my tastes but very talented. The French are just jealous of our love for Irish art, culture and humor. The Young Dubs seemed to be having a great time with their American fans and vice versa. Sorry, I have no capotures of their music, but it would probably blow your speakers. Maybe something by the Coors . . . another time. -- SurveyGuy, 19:46:08 04/14/03 Mon (pcp01422563pcs.lndsd201.pa.comcast.net/68.81.153.209)
