Subject: SP's sarcastic and sweeeet wife

I really liked Sancho's wife, I think she's hilarious. They obviously don't have the most amazing relationship. When she sees him, the first thing she asks about is the ass, not her husband. The second thing she asks about is what he brought home for her. He tells her he doesn't have fine skirts, but "stuff that's more special and important." She replies, "I'd love to see it to cheer up this heart of mine that's been so sad and out of sorts all these ages that you've been away." In light of her first two questions, (and never asking him about how he was doing)she is obviously being sarcastic. I think this goes to say something about SP even before Don Quixote got to him. His wife didn't miss him and really didn't care to see him again. She did just fine without him.
I don't know what exactly this says about him, but even if it's not very important, I thought this conversation was pretty funny.
