Hi,

My name is Rai and i made the same mistake as countless others and sigend up with LGM holidays ownership program in early 2000. They put me and my wife under tremendous pressure duirng their 4hr presentation and we gave in ultimately. I paid fully for the $10,000 package by the early 2001 and thought the whole thing was over and that i owned the holiday now. But they contacted me again in 2003 and told me that if i didn't upgrade my ownership then i would have to pay very high maintenance fees and annual fees.

It was at a cost of about another $9000 dollars and they agreed to let me pay at $200/- a month with review every 6 months. The 6 months are over and they are asking me to increase my installment amount and they are threatening legal action if i stop paying. Can they actually do this? I don't even want my earlier money back..i just want to stop?! I know i made a big big mistake and it was partly my fault to give in to their pressure. But all i want is to be rid of this mess. Is there any way i can stop paying them? Please help me.

Looking forward to your reply.

Yours sincerely,

Rai

After today's article (ST 9 NOv), I am sure that there are more victims of this scam then we can imagine who will finally come together to battle these timecrime crooks. They are really scumbags without a moral conscience. I have been tricked into it and have so far paid more than $12,000. Even then, I have never set my sights on the holiday resort nor the so-called free holiday trips that they were promoting if we signed up.
At first they offer me Penang or KL...then later they said the resort was not registed with them so they offer Genting. Even then the period was not available.
The trip that I had planned to make was also not available because the time was oversubscribe. All these were not mentioned during the sales presentation. All we had was a rosy-painted picture of the savings that we would received and the glorious living that we will enjoy.

I wish the government could intervene because they are akin to Pyramid scheme sellers that was banned longtime. I would like to seek the advice or a lawyer and back my money back.
