Lena,
As I stated in my first post, the founding people (I use "people" since "members" seems undefined) on the website are listed whether they have quit or not and whether they are active or not, because they played a part in the formation of the club. I see it as "giving credit where credit is due". As far as some not having pulled in two years, there is at least one "paid up" member that does not even own a tractor! As far as the bylaws, please keep in mind that they were written, ammended and approved by all of us "non-legal" types (at least those that were at the meetings). I appreciate you applying your legal knowledge to the bi-laws because I see it as constructive criticism. How would you suggest they be worded to be understood more clearly? Are there other areas where they are unclear? I know that most aspects of this club need improvement (sled, website, equipment, etc.), but considering the age of this club, I think the fact that it was "up and running" as quick as it was is credit to ALL the founders! Now it is time to look to make improvements wherever we can and we have been doing just that. The website is slowly being improved and the sled and equipment is being updated. Regarding Chuck and Jerry "walking away", it disturbs me to see good friends part ways because of unresolved conflict and differences of opinion. The sad thing is that both parties have lost.
