Hi Barry ...

Great question and one I have asked him many times. He simply feels it is an early, if not the earliest Book of Astronomy. Although I tend to agree with him that it is indeed marking out the planets I feel that the purpose is to mark a date of some kind. If you have studied the motion of the planets you will know that any two exact instances of time and distance between Earth and Mars will not be repeated for upwards of 60,000 to 70,000 years. If we add a third (Mercury) and a fourth (Venus) and pick one exact instance of time and distance between these 4 planets the configuration would not repeat itself for many hundreds of thousands of years, maybe even many millions of years. Thus if we could measure exactly these four planets at Giza they would and should give us a date. I have supposed either when when they were built ... or a date of warning of most probably our Armageddon.

My search, which is based on Clive's discoveries is trying to find out which of these it is. A beginning ... or the end.

Best
Don Barone
