I loved Cora Beth every minute from beginning to end. I liked the way she developed from the shy, retiring woman at the beginning to the confident, brassy woman she became. She was marvelous at all of it. One thing I always appreciated was how the signs of her later personality were present from the beginning. When she first appeared, she had her "mousy" side, but underneath she was very much in charge. She moved into John Boy's room and took it over, she finagled food while saying she didn't want to be a bother, and she stayed! She was a marvelous character, well-developed over the course of the show, and a joy to watch (not to mention her wonderful diction!).
