My fav character has to be Grandpa Zeb, played by the amazing Will Geer. I think it must be his zest for life, and his passionate love for every living thing in the state of Virginia. Zeb combined the elegance of a courtly Southern gentleman with the strength of the mountain and the soul of Peter Pan. Whether it be watching an ant on the leaf of a shrub..(and he could tell you just why the ant chose that leaf), or teaching, his youngest granddaughter how to wrangle an ancient catfish, Zeb maintained his joyous soul until the very end.

Grandpa died an EXTREMELY wealthy man: There wasn't much money... just the inheritance of Love, honour,pride in honesty and hard work, family...and the natural bounty of the whole wide world.
