My grandmother did a lot of quilting. Before she died it was her goal that all of her children (10) and grandkids (19) have a quilt made by her. Goal accomplished!! I treasure mine. I also made a quilt. It was no easy task. My mom took me to a quilting when I was a small girl. I recall some of it. The table or whatever it ws placed on, stretched and held the quilt in place. I seems it was huge to me then. The many women each sat around it sewing a particular square chatting away. I enjoy it now as I look back. I have a couple of quilts my mom made too. I think it is a dying art.
