• Will Hallmark Pull "The Waltons"? -- Will, 22:18:28 06/09/08 Mon [6]
  I've been wondering. Hallmark Channel has been showing "The Waltons" episodes in order weekday mornings for I don't know how long. Wednesday the 9th Season will be completed with the 7am CST showing of "The Revel" ( hich is actually an episode I remember seeing years ago but I didn't know then it was the last episode). So will Hallmark Channel start all over with the episodes from Season One, or will it fill the time slot with another show?

  I am thinking seriously about going to the reunion in October if I can swing it. It is only about a four or five hour drive from where I live. Did someone say that it is open to anyone, that you don't have to be a member of the fan club to attend? It depends on which characters are planning to be there.   In the episode The Celebration, Erin tells Mary Ellen that Marcia Woolery isn't going to marry the reverend Hank, but that she is. I wonder why the writers never had a relationship with Erin and Hank? Seems odd to me to start a possible relationship and then not do anything about it.

  Hi Everyone,
  
  I have been away from the forum for a while. My mother passed away Dec. 4, 2007 and since then it has been very hard for me to watch the show. We watched the Waltons as a family when it aired on network TV and my mom always reminded me so much of Olivia Walton as portrayed by Michelle Learned, they were so much alike. I've gone through a lot of family losses in the last 5 years and with mom's death, it's just been too painful to watch the show right now.
  
  I would like to see the specials that were aired after the show went off the air-they look to be about happier times.
  Season 7 with Grandpa's passing and Olivia going to a TB sanitarium...don't think I could handle that right now.
  
  I would appreciate your prayers as I walk through these losses.

  With the dish network program I have I don't get the Hallmark channel. One of the main reasons I left cable tv was so I could watch the Waltons and RFD. Not long after I switched to dish, they took both off their lineup! Bummer. At least I have taped most of the Walton shows through the years so I am mostly okay! However, this month the free preview is the Hallmark channel! So, I am dvr-ing it so I can watch as I have time. My comment is, there has been a lot of discussion on the "new" John Boy. I admit Richard Thomas IS John Boy, but on the other hand for some one to have to attempt to step in and fill those shoes after such a long run, can you imagine what that must be like? All and all I think he did an amazing job. I think he deserves a lot of credit for not only the courage to attempt it, but considering all, he didn't do half bad. Since he was on this week this was fresh on my mind!

GW hasn't been warned in any way that they've done anything to offend anyone, but at their normal server they can no longer access this website. If he has offended someone, please tell him what he's done to be deserving of being banned without explanation. He just gets a restricted access, permission to access forum denied by administrator message trying to access this web page. Right after posting the note someone spamed his forum with an obscene message that has since been removed.
