Those moments when John-Boy read to her were so touching. The love of that son for his mama was so strong-he knew just what she needed at that time. And her pride and joy watching him read and giving something of himself... so moving. So many heartfelt scenes on our Waltons and that is sure up there with the numerous great ones.
How wonderful was his voice and manner of speech? It has developed into a more mature voice but one that still stands out which you hear on the Mercedes commercials. Makes me want to buy one, for sure. :) I think it is worth noting that RT's voice has that soothing quality like Earl's does. I could listen to either one read the phone book, as they say.
Chris, check in on ebay for the poetry book. That is where I got mine a number of years ago. I will check Amazon too and Barb knows some good second hand book sellers. abebooks I think it is...
