That's a hard decision because there are so many. I'd have to say that the episode when John-Boy writes about Miss Emily's romance with Ashley Longworth stands out. Also when the sisters find an engagement ring and a letter hidden by their father, who denied Ashley permission to marry Miss Emily and out of anger,Miss Emily temporarily had her father's portrait removed. "Spring Fever" is also good when Miss Mamie is convinced she's dying and Grandpa and Miss Emily finally snap her out of it when Miss Mamie discovers she enjoys fishing. The episode when Miss Mamie must have eye surgery or face blindness is a good episode, knowing she break a promise she and Miss Emily made to their father about not having surgery. I also enjoy the final episode of the series when the sisters issue invitations to their former classmates only to find out most were either deceased or had moved elsewhere but the Walton children attend the sisters' party and John-Boy returns from New York City.
