I am confused. As I see it, the benefits employees were and are receiving were never a big issue before, but now with all the debt the city has, this is the big issue. First off the big question in my mind as a taxpayer is why was the audit cancelled, this question seems to be falling on deaf ears. Lets start investigating this debt from where it started and maybe there won't be such negative employee feedback with chipping in to help out. Also, another question in my mind is why offer more money to the people who are taking the insurance buyouts, it is currently being offered to employees that are being paid $100.00 a month to an increase of $250.00 a month that are currently taking the buyout if the city can get 15 more employees to participate in this. I think there should be a stop put to the buyouts all together, the more I hear, the more it doesn't make much sense. Can someone elaborate on this?
