It isn't an exact quote, I am just paraphrasing a scene that sticks out in my mind when I think of John and women. I keep thinking back to that first night in the brothel with Nessie. John thought he could do it, he felt a tiny flame of desire lick up his thighs, drew her against him, after all he'd paid for it, but she was a person, and not the person he desired.
