Oh Yeah absolutely. I do want my big strong husband to sit and watch movies with me and not tease me when I cry at the sad parts and to sweep me off my feet on the dance floor. I made him take dancing lessons with me last spring, he was miserable, and we were both embarrassingly awful. We quit after 4 lessons. I desired and married the cave man I got, after 25 years it isn't quite fair for me to try to change up the rules now. -- LJG Discussion board

I have a hunter/gatherer at home too. Dance lessons- he would never ever agree to take them let alone enjoy them! We usually watch different TVs in the house so he can watch Cops or Ultimate Fighting and I can watch anything else!! - Ha/Ha! Thursdays are DH's favorite TV night because they have these wrestlers on...is that Ultimate F ighting? He really is a man's man and I wouldn't have him any other way.       - He asked me what I wanted for our anniversary and I told him I wanted to take a couples dance class, so we wouldn't look like idiots dancing at my nephew's wedding in July. He only agreed because I asked for his participation as my gift. What I really meant to say is he is not exactly insensitive, it is just subtle things I miss. I love that John and Jamie both are able to touch in bed without always wanting anything else. You can bet if my sweetie pulled me close, put his face in my hair, or kissed me on the shoulder, he'd have no intention of stopping there no matter how tired or "not in the mood I feel". Diana understands how much this (and the ability to hold a deep conversation and actually say what is on their minds) appeals to a woman. While men, on the whole, want to be left alone if they are in sleep mode, they expect instant response to any cuddling to switch us to what they think is the inevitable follow on.         I so completely agree. My sister and I have often lamented the fact that our husbands are so single minded- if he wants it, he lets me know, no very subtly, by the way he talks, walks and breaths around me. LOL.
