Subject: Hall strikes me as a very bright guy. I would think with his position he'd know a lot of different kind of men and be a really excellent judge of character. Even if John had been a rock at 16 when he lost the love of his life, which I doubt, Hal would have been able to see the heartbreak in his own brother. If ANYONE besides John's Mother would know it would have been Hal.
In reply to: Oleander 's message, "I responded to this below for some reason, but wanted to say, what a great observation Jane. I did think it was odd for Hal to make John look at Hector's body the way he did, made me think perhaps Hal knows a thing or two. And I can see it being different for John then- In the throes of self discovery, perhaps they were not as circumspect as they ought to be, and Hal knew?" on 06:33:21 09/14/07 Fri

  • There's also the parallel with the nuns making Claire look at Faith. (NT) -- sharon fisher, 06:31:53 09/15/07 Sat

  • Your right Sharon! You felt it when Jamie told John that Hal was right to show him, that it was a kindness. Jamie didn't even know if Claire was alive or dead all those years they were apart. Imagine how much more horrible that would have been than knowing you'd lost the love of your life but at least being able to move on. (NT) -- Jane, 07:49:22 09/15/07 Sat
