Subject: um... I think we need to clarify "Beta Reader"

Beta Readers read your rough draft and make suggestions. But it's YOUR story, your voice, your vision. I certainly wouldn't want to "take over" your story by rewriting it. Not to mention that with the kind of convoluted plot you're hinting at, it's (frankly) impossible to rewrite something when one doesn't know where the plot is going!

But writing is very individual. One of my good friends writes in a strictly linear form. She really doesn't rewrite because she goes over and over a section until it's perfect before moving on. Me, I write in chunks, jumping all over the projected plot line and then try to put it all together. Obviously neither one of is "right" and neither is "wrong". It's all a matter of what works for YOU as a writer.
