Date Posted: 18:13:26 02/02/04 Mon In reply to: Alucard 's message, "Re: ~*~*arrival.*~*~" on 18:01:37 02/02/04 Mon please follow me, then.... ~+~*you obeyed, following her to her home, which was carved royally near the front of the city. she was apparently one of the leaders here.*~+~ let me explain the situation.... ~+~*you were seated in her very comfortable chairs as she spoke.*~+~ our beliefs and traditions are very strict when it comes to dealing with magic and gifts of that nature. if a gift can not be trained, it has to be contained- for the better of the community here. not too long ago, a gift flourished in one of the young men that lives here. now, normally, any gift is easy enough to train- but his was rather unusual. not only that, but it was more powerful than anything we can handle, and linked with his emotions which causes it to come out in powerful lashes when he is upset. this power is fire- a pure and simple FireStarter. however, because of this one boy..... well, when we found out about his power, he had been afrade for his life at the hands of a few Sentinels passing through here, as they were planning on sacrificing his body. he destroyed everything in the area, and nearly killed himself. we tried to train the gift, but it was, well--- too far gone to be fully controled. he has it trained well enough, but violent emotional attacks still set him off. so, we have no choice but to contain his power.... ~+~*her eyes grew dark.*~+~ containing a gift, is quite simply seperating the Spirit and Soul. since it is the Spirit that contains the magic, it is sent away- and the soul and body left together. this makes anybody that is a victim of this lifeless, lethargic, and unable to function. its a step away from killing them entirely. he is in the process of being prepared to go through with this against his will. if you were to take him away with you when you left, it would not be needed. ~+~*she leaned forward in her chair.*~+~ his name is Landis, son of one of the very well-to-do nobles living here. he never caused any problems, and was very nice no matter what was going on around here. one of the best children to ever be brought up by this society. i could not see him sitting in a room all day staring at the walls..... ~+~*she sighed.*~+~ if you are still willing to help me out, i can take you to meet him- though be warned, he has not been eating, so he looks rather horrid right now. his power is being contained by a special shield around the room where he is being kept. still interested?
