Date Posted: 13:42:58 02/17/04 Tue In reply to: Kyo 's message, "Re: ~*~*the sky grew very dark, very quickly.*~*~" on 18:17:32 02/16/04 Mon ~+~*Kakrine emerged from the cluster of Gryphons, her remaining three sisters nearby. the South Wind joined them, and they walked right on through the field- passing you as if they had not seen you. you called out to them, but got no response. something had happened- something serious. they all reverted briefly back to their human selves, and then they began some form of ritual that you had not yet seen. all of the sisters stood in their respective direction- facing away from the center of their little 'circle' and off into the distance, with Kakrine standing in the center. you watched, as one by one, the sisters began to change.*~+~ ~+~*the East Wind was first- Wind of Change. in her human form, she was a bit shorter than the others, with blonde hair to her waist and deep amber skin. she started floating a few inches off the ground, and began to glow lightly. all of the charms gathered by Cye simply floated out of his pocket, and to the Wind that he had attained them from. the East Wind held her handa in a cup over her chest as her priceless pearl came to a rest, floating against her hands- and she closed the gap between her hands and heart. a powerful red light erupted from her, then materialized into ribbons which began to spiral around her until you could not see her. it began to unravel, starting at her head- which now had a small pearl shimmering brightly on her forehead, her hair turned black and now only shoulder length. the ribbons around her figure formed an elegant red dress, trimmed in blue stones and with designs upon it that reminded you of the ocean. the remaining ribbons moved behind her and formed her long set of light pink wings, and then a set of elbow-length gloves that matched her dress. her boots were the same shade of red as well, and trimmed and decorated much the same. she floated a bit higher, the pearl on her head reflecting every bit of light that touched it. lastly, a thick silver band appeared around each wrist, and a long silver chain wrapped around her neck several timed.*~+~ ~+~*North was next- Wind of Love. she began to float- in her human form, she was much like her sister- long blonde hair, but she was very fair skinned. Cye's Flourite Orb floated into her waiting hands, as several green and purple ribbons lashed out from it and conceiled her form. it began much like the other- unraveling from the head. her hair had remained unchanged, butr the small purpleish stone was not in her forehead. she had silvery 'horns' over her ears, jewelery that you had not seen anywhere else. her gown was that of purest white, trailing off below her feet, where she wore white leather boots to her knees. she was wearing white gloves as well- and the entire outfit was highlighted in bright yellows that reminded you of looking into the sun. two silver bands appeared around her wrists, followed by three identical silver choakers. the remaining ribbons floated back behind her, and gave her the purest of white angelic wings.*~+~ ~+~*next was the West Wind, Wind of Luck- who began by floating like the others. her human self was quite beautiful. short, slightly curly brown hair and medium light skin. as her Amethyst closed into her palms, violet ribbons surrounded her. her hair had grown longer, and was a deep yet lovely shade of green. the purple gem was not in her forehead, as the ribbons created by it revealed a long gray gown, with matching boots and gloves. the gown was decorated in bright and lively greens, thus reminding you of the forest. silver bands formed on her wrists, followed by a rather elaborate necklace that was not much larger than a choaker. the remaining ribbon drifted to her back, gifing her a pair of elegant, light green wings.*~+~ ~+~*South was last, Wind of Fate. she floated like the others- her human self identical to Kakrine's, with very pale skin and long black hair. the Crystal floated into her hands, and she was surrounded by shimmering black and white ribbons. they cleared like the others had. her hair remained the same, the Crystal now on her forehead. she had silvery horns over her ears as well. her gown was that of purest black, matching her boots and gloves. they were all decorated in light grays and silvers, reminding you of the moon. her wings formed as those like a ravens. silver bands appeared at her wrists, as well as a set of silver choakers that held chains in place that dropped down her back.*~+~ ~+~*Kakrine began to change right after her sisters, floating up a bit higher than they had. her feline-like ears appeared on her head, followed by her tail. her clothes began to shimmer- and then vanished, though at the angle you were standing at, you could not see anything. a silvery light began at her feet, and began to move upwards- placing her in her second set of clothes. her black, knee-high boots formed first, silver bands dropping around her ankles. her light blue gown appeared over her body, decorated by the same designs that covered the others, making you feel 'balance' when you looked at her. small black gloves happeared on her hand, followed by several silver bands. on her tail, three different bands formed, as silvery loops began to lace her ears. her long angelic wings appeared- but not the set that you knew. they were solid white on the shortest feathers, white tipped in green on the next row, tipped in red in the row below that, and tipped in black on her primaries. all five sets of sparkling blue eyes turned towards the sky, as the sisters linked hands and raised their wings- the tips touching high above them. Kakrine floated through the center of the wings, spreading her own upon reacing the top. she raised her arms, and began to call energy into a sphere above her. most if it was coming from her sisters, but you could feel it draining from your body- as could everybody else present. you watched in awe as the energy gathered slowly began to turn black, and then was released into the air. you heard many screached from far below you, as each and every Quesacoatl was pulled through the cavern enterance, and gathered around the glowing sphere. Kakrine kept them floating there whilest her sisters broke their hold, and took off into the sky, shimmering swords appearing in their hands- and one at a time, they began to methodically slay some of the serpents. the first one that Falcon and Ashton had spoken to was the first to go, followed by two others, and then one of the much larger ones. Kakrine released the spell, releasing the remaining 7 Quezacoatl back to the caverns. you heard cries of joy from the Gryphons as they all returned to the ground, but remained in their guardian bodies. the sisters smiled at Kakrine, and then took off running to greet the Gryphons that were cheering for them. Kakrine, on the other hand, came to you.*~+~ do not think ill of us for that display..... it was out assigned duty here to protect the Gryphons of the ancient times. those four that perished today got together and raided the Gryphlets Aerie, killing every fledgeling present. the only ones who survived were those who stayed home sick, and those who were too young to join the class. we lost over 3000 children in that raid. they asked for their own death when they entered that school. ~+~*she continued her walk, joining her sisters and vanishing into the crowd.*~+~ ---- ~*~*Ma'ar appeared behind you again, a bright smile on his face.*~*~ those serpents that just died are in the river now- bitching about how they were just hungry. ~*~*he shrugged.*~*~ so? how has life been treating you? ~*~*You turned to face him, only to find yourself face to face with another Gryphon. a small one- about eye-level with a normal 6' human. its feathers were gray and gold. it smiled through its beak as you remembered that Ma'ar was the new Spirit of Defense.*~*~ well? its rude not to answer questions you know!
