's message, "Re: *Amazed*" on 15:35:58 02/06/04 Fri ~+~*you slowly descended the bridges, and after what seemed like an eternity, you finally reached the bottom. you were not looking forward to climbing back up. the bridges litterally left off on a series of stepping stones, which you carefully picked your way across to reach the first island. you looked up- the surrounding walls had ended about a mile ago, and the pillar was quite a bit wider here. though, from where you were standing, it looked like the pillar was floating on the surface of the water- and not rising out of it. you looked around. this lake was nearly identical to the one that you had seen in Ashavar, in the Spirit of Creation's cavern. there were smaller pools seperated from the main body of water, which did not start for some time after the first series of islands. the water in them was quite shallow- but some were quite deep, as if they had all been hand carved. little rims stuck up out of the water that made them all look like little chambers. you stepped in one carefully, as the ripples radiated out from your feet in golden light before slowly turning deep blue again. the only light here was provided by a beautiful netting of small golden lights, placed about 3 inches apart all over the complete expanse of the walls and ceiling. it was absolutely enchanting. your eyes turned to one of the smaller islands in the distance, where you saw something- a unicorn. its fur was fine silky black, its mane and tail ribbons of silver to match the spiral upon its head. its eyes were a very haunting shade of blue, and there was a white crescent on its forehead. it was beautiful- it was leaping avross the smaller pools of water, alternating between the shallow ones and the deep ones, but never falling below the very surface of the water, and never creating even the slightest of ripples. a spray of silver and gold droplets were launched from its silvery hooves every time it jumped, and it was stunning in all of its grace with very smooth motions. it looked at you once, and then jumped to the last pool before the lake, and then jumped- whilest in the air, its hind quarters morphed into those of a hippocampus, and it vanished beneath the surface. well, at least you knew that the guardian was nearby....*~+~ [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
