SpellBinding is a very rare gift on its own, but it could be used to mix spells and what not. and a SoulBinders abilities tied into Psychic and Telepathic abilities could be horrible if unleashed together- say, binding myself to an entire civiliztion and then using telepathy to will them all into killing each other or themselves. if i got away, Eldan and i would be better off going to the Sanctuary. not this place, but the ACTUAL Sanctuary that exists in the higher worlds. we could get all of the necesary teaching and more from there.... but they would never let us leave, because they would stick us in their ranks and send us out on missions for the rest of our lives until we were spent and they had to kill us. that is what is happening to your friend Fire Song- i saw him in your thoughts. he is like my brother.... they are simply going to work him until there is nothing left and they have to kill him themselves. ~+~*she chuckled.*~+~ i can sense him up near the chapel..... i read his memories, too. he knows that this is going to happen sooner or later..... he wants out, i can feel that much. he would not admit it, but it drained a great deal of his power to heal the moons of Aderes. at this rate they will have worked him into nothing within a few decades..... his only alternative would be to try and revive the Ring, but that would require consensus from at least two gods from both sides of his lineage in order to bind him to THAT piece of magic, and then he would not have protection from the small Spirits that hunt the Spirit Stars down. Eldan is no different..... he would be taken away and bound to something that he could not escape..... and i would likely end up as a Dragon Rider WITHIN Sanctuary walls- they always get killed on duty, regardless of their talents.
