Thank you for clarifying that being able to read music is not a prerequisite for songwriting. I can imagine all the wheeling and dealing that fell through the cracks.
Oddly enough,I was watching Paul McCartney doing an interview on TV this past Sunday and when asked about how he writes songs, he mentioned he couldn't read music. Amazing! And at 76, he's still touring and wowing the audiences. Gotta love that.
