Cyrus' eyes narrowed as the emperor left, his fist clenching and unclenching as he turned towards Tyrsis, "I'd suggest you tell my father what is happening before you and Damuthca leave," he said with shake of his head.

"As it were, I need to get some sleep. I still have to work today," he said softly.

As it turned out, he didn't have to work today, arrangements had already been made with the dwarves in light of the loss of his mother.

At the end of the day, though a bit before sundown, Cyrus waited to find out if Emillia was awake. Even though he looked considerably worse for the news that his mother was dead, he had made a date, and while he would understand if she wanted to postpone the picnic.... he kept his word.
