 She entered without knocking, opening the door on oiled hinges with only the slight creak all heavy objects made when moved. Her footsteps stopped and she became aware of the small trail of dust her shoes had left behind her, travel stains following her from entrance to end. Damuthca sat, unmoved, as she had thought he would be. No one could have expected her to return that day, not even she had thought things would unfold as they had. She slid off her shoes and steped through the doorway.

Peace washed over her, and for a moment she forgot what had worried her. Damuthca had been praying again. The Goddess had, once more, listened. She always listened when Damuthca prayed.

"Damuthca." Tyrsis spoke softly, not wanting to break the sense of peace but needing to know. "How was your trip?"
