He slowly made each step, weighning in each of the guards that only stared at him and Tyrsis. Sweat rolled off their brows, at least the older guards. Their eyes staring at the large scrollcase tied to the mere boy's back as he slowly transended from the darkness of the temple to the world of the light. Reflecting gently off his pale form as he slowly raised his large ember eyes to that great powerful globe.
He simply stared, as if challenging it in some duel, his black wings twitching in some form of excitement, some dark joy as Damuthca also came running from the temple corridor, slowing down as he neared the boy.
Kenji slowly lowered his eyes, purple spots covering his vision briefly as his eyes focused entirely upon Zenra, Cyrus, and Oro. His smile widened upon his lips, a true measure of joy finding itself etched upon his features as he slowly desended the stairs.
The Escalvonians, with Damuthca in the lead, slowly followed behide, making a small half circle around the boy as a few took flight into the air. The younger Escalvonians didn't quite understand the measure of fear etched in their eyes, almost borderline terror, as they circled above, like vultures.
Each step made each of those behide the boy twitch in antipation. The Dragons seemingly almost forcefully escaping from a few as they held in their draconic rage, especially Damuthca, though it was thru his authority, and his alone, that held his men back.
At last, the final step was taken, as Kenji slowly traveled the distance between Queen of Hogoromo and himself, finally stopping about twenty feet between the two as he regarded her, beyond her, thru her.
His black wings twitching, eagerly as his smile slowly left his face, and for a rare instance, looking perfectly like his mother and grandfather, the two faces almost falling in perfect order over his own.
" Where is Emillia...? " He asked, whispering and breaking the near silence at last.
