Emi stepped out from behind the Emperor, and away from Cyrus and Tyrsis.

"I want to know why he's here, and who he is. Sis says that Oro attacked him first, so it was Oro's fault for getting himself in trouble."

She went and plucked up the scroll from the woman, damned if anyone was gonna stop her.

"And what this is. I can kinda read it, it looks like some kind of spell."

Her black tipped white wings, ringed with gold for a brief instant, and then it was gone. Her head turned slightly, and she let her gaze fall on the boy, her voice just a few years older sounding than it was before.

"Let Kenji go."
