All senses screamed it. His body was tense...his eyes wide even as beads of sweat crept down his face. He bit his lip the fear alien to him, even as his heart beat faster in his chest. He could feel his muscles tensing and relaxing rhythmically as adrenalin coursed through his body. Fight or flight…

He was about to dash away, when someone simply brushed by the guards, pushing the point of the sword away from him. His eyes turned to this newcomer, his fear evident on his face. So helpless! It was not altogether unexpected that he would feel this way. He felt the man’s arms slide around his shoulders and the pressure tugging him to head in the direction with him.

Even as the man spoke about food he felt his stomach rumble. Another foreign sensation…hunger. He didn’t even understand what the man said…his body trembling, though he could see an apparent kindness in the man’s action and allowed himself to be led into the city. Wide eyes wandering everywhere as he gazed about the city, a boy beautiful in form without an apparent flaw…
