Zenra traced a hand along the glass of the tank. The twitch of his hand went unnoticed, as an occational twitch was expected, and usually ignored. She'd watched him a little bit everyday. She stopped hoping every time she saw a twitch, so now they went passed off as a twitch of a dream. Sometimes she thought she was dreaming, sitting on that stool day dreaming that she would walk in and see him awake and aware inside the tank. But it had never happened even as much she had wished it to. The whisper was also passed off as a figment of her imagination. She often thought it herself when she was watching him, hoping that what she was seeing was a dream, and not real.
The green light from the liquid reflected off her face, pulling it to a scene of lovers sorrow, forever seperated even though both were together. She missed her friend, and wished he was revived and awake. But to wake up to what? Eleven years had passed. How was she going to explain everything that happened to him? How would he cope with the loss of eleven years and the sorrow he had caused her? She didn't really want to find out that answer. She didn't want to burden him like that, but she still wished he would awaken.
Her tuquoise eyes seemed more green under the light, green turquoise searching over and over through the liquid for something she could recognize as waking, instead of an occational twitch.
She sighed and composed herself, pulling back her hand. The silky gown she was wearing enforced her regal look, her long dove gray hair up in a bun on her head, and a simple circlet on her forehead with a teardrop of an opal hanging from the center of it across her brow. She drew her white wings over her shoulders and turned, putting her hand on the handle of the door. She looked over her shoulders back toward Dias before she left.
"Wake up, my little blue bird."
Then she was gone, the door closing with a soft click.
