The forgotten man walked slowly through the forest, the human teenager trailing a few feet behind him. He had found her a year ago, more like she found him, he was exhausted and tired after reaching this land and found himself in the presense of a nasty snake. Although he was able to defeat it he had found himself dying. That is when she found him and took him to a small human village, no more then a hundred men, women and children.

They told him that the village was ten years old, that an army had come and built it and then disappeared completely leaving only the buildings and a library behind. Shortly after this they were led here by visions. Now every human this continent had left was in that village, except the girl who was travelling with him.

He looked out at a stream and saw a ripple, it looked from his angle to be a part of the water but he had already seen a few others. They weren't natural, the slaughter and near complete destruction of the humans of this area had weakened the flow of energy.

He continued to walk, listening contently to the hum of the woman behind him. In a few hours they would be at Hogoromo.
