 The Ith Dakar slithered in, trying to keep well out of view as the little wyrdling began to wander away from its mother.

Eleven years ago, a creature like this had proven devastating, and this one would be tamed. This one would make the forgottens pay for the near extinction they had wrought upon the Ith Dakar, even the hated Johan, the man who had hunted them until only one nest remained on all of Aurora, and even to this day sought its location.

Yes, they would all pay....

"for the nesssst," it whispered, and a scaled hand reached out to pick the wyrdling up.
