How could she tell them that when the Weave had begun to wail she'd been sleeping and that she'd gone before she'd truly awakened to know what she was doing? That she didn't have time to tell anyone what was wrong before plunging into the very heart of the Weave? Even to her own mind it sounded like little more than excuses.
