Dawnsfire looked for a moment at Prophet and felt uncomfortable. There were all these humans walking around, joking and laughing and she suddenly wished to be anywhere but in that village. She longed for her Clan, wanting nothing more than to be back where she belonged even if such a thing was no longer possible. Whitestar chirruped in her ear, before plunging his beak into her hair, grooming her as though she were another bird. He knew something was bothering her even if he couldn't possibly understand what it was. He was just a bird, one that she'd found and cared for when he'd been injured a few years ago and who had stayed with her even after he'd healed. Part of it was because he wasn't strong enough to survive and part of it was, or so Dawnsfire believed, because he saw her as family. Either way, he saw her as a friend and could, in the way of most creatures, sense her unhappiness and tried in his own way to make her feel better. Glancing over at Silverfox she wondered if the other woman felt the same way.....adrift and lost even surrounded by all these other humans or if she was adjusting better than her Shaman was.
