There was a gentle honking sound, and a splash of water. A refugee was started at the sudden appearence of this newcomer. The halflings looked on as some elves started to chase the bird. One of them noticed the locket.

"Hey..isn't that bird.."

"..the pet of that girl?"

"Girl, pft, more like tyrant."

"Hush. If it's her pet, it might fetch us a few gold peices."

"I'll not risk being seen with it. Goddess knows she might try to behead you on accusations of stealing it."

"We could cook it?" one said.

"Too gamy. Swan isn't right for the palate."

The turquoise eyed bird merely heeded them with only a honk, and waddled her way to a barrel of rainwater and hopped in. The elves plotting against the bird let it go, feeling it not worth the effort to kill the creature just in spite of the acting queen.

Swans were rare birds, after all.

Though one of them did approach the only other person it might concern.

"Lord Dan'Shir, there's a...bird, swimming in one of the rain basins. It's...odd, it's wearing a locket, and we believe it may belong to that...girl." Girl was said bitterly, it was obvious whom he ment.
