Emi just sat there are tears comtinued to fall from her eyes, even as she listened to Tyrsis' story. She imagined herself that little bird, and the eagle as what was trying to consume her from within. It was a long time of silence between them after Tyrsis' last words before she heard it.

That sad, lonely music that seemed to reflect her complete state of mind. She knew from where it came, and from whom. And shame consumed her then. How could she face him, of all people, now, after what she had done.

He would scorn her, of that she was certain. He of everyone knew this temptation greater than anyone, and yet, he was still so strong. She was so weak in his wake, and couldn't not hope to compare. She couldn't forgive herself, nor did she expect him to either.

She took a shuddering breath and looked up at the Seer, knowing she heard the music as well. Eyes connected for only a moment, then turned downward, shamefully and she got up, but she didn't leave until she gave Tyrsis' hand a squeeze.

Then she left, and sought the source of the music, and when she found it, she couldn't look at the player.

She didn't want to dare to meet those eyes, those eyes that would only tell her one thing.

'You should know better.'
