There is a problem when one attempts to ambush a Seer.

Her staff met his blade with a clang, barely touching it as the majority crossed his wrist. Afterall, he was the opponent, not his weapons. They were only messengers of the death he attempted to bring. Lithe body finished its turn, even as the second end of the staff came up in a flash of silver towards her assailants face. Her expression was calm and trained, that of a warrior, not a noble. He should have known by the way she sat so uneasily in the luxury around her, the way she shifted in the formal dress she fought in.

A thought flashed in her eyes, something of a vision played out in an instants time to be analyzed later.
