Once in a different room Dawnsfire laid a gentle hand on Silverfox' shoulder.

"Tell me what happened. Go slowly and leave nothing out. Calm yourself first and then tell me."

Her voice was soothing, the hand on the girl's shoulder meant to be reassuring. Dawnsfire didn't feel good, what few words the girl had spoken in the other room had given her a sour feeling in the pit of her stomach, and while she expected the worst she kept her thoughts hidden beneath a mask of concern for Silverfox. What could happened that the Clans would send a child, even one nearing adulthood to find her? She was afraid to find out.
