The piglet squirmed, struggling somewhat in his warm arms. Those muscles held that fragile creature gently, oh so gently, as silky strands of invisible psionic energy creeped into its mind, calming it into silent slumber.
Rain.
It fell down upon Hogoromo, the sun drown out by the grey clouds heavy with the life giving liquid of the world. Shards of it fell down in the thousands, sending people scurrying for cover in the city as they cursed the uninvited guest of the warm day.
Not moving as the rain pelted him, soaking his cloak and clothing. The piglet squirming, shivering at the cold as the icy droplets ran down its bare skin. Slender white fingers gently protected it from the bombardment as Impazaeal looked about, his ruby eyes casting back and forth as he slowly walked underneath a merchants stall, the cloth roof serving as a minor shield against the storm.
Several Drow were slowly filtering their way into the city's ways. Disguised , quite perfectly, as Forgotten, they lived, loved, traded, and argued with the true inhabitatants of Hogoromo, even as drow that served no purpose anylonger were sent to sate the hunger for sweet dark elf blood. The Forgottens were most bloodthirsty then their self righteous attitude claimed.
Silently judging the defenses in contrast to the Time that Never was, he shook his head somewhat as he cradled the piglet even closer, its heartbeat vibrating his clothing and skin as he watched those who dared the elements as the wind kicked up, halting the flight of almost any Forgotten as the rain pelted inside homes as it went almost horizonally.
Droplets running down his face , soaking him and chilling him to the bone as he watched the storm from his meager shelter. He waited as he stroked the poor cold piglet in his arms.
