I have asked the following question in the Universist Forum:

How would you, as a Universist, compare United Universism with Unitarian Universalism?

Answer:

Universism is new, and was put together in full awareness of Unitarian Universalism. It's here to fill a void that Unitarian Universalism doesn't fill - namely, a non-religious religion. It's also here to change the world by making it known that there are large numbers of people who aren't just "non-religious" but who think there is a better, safer way than traditional religions have ever conceived of - Universism is in that sense an ongoing project.

Here's what the FAQ says:
Is Universism related to Universalism?
No. The root of Universism is universe - a noun. It is the philosophy of the universe. The root of Universalism is universal - an adjective. Universalism is a universally accepting philosophy, equally accepting reason and faith as valid, accepting many Truths, and in Unitarian Universalism, often making claims about various faith traditions serving as alternate paths to the same end. Universism, by contrast, takes a stand on reason and evidence, the right tools for a natural universe.
