-let me clarify: the faith community you identified was made up of those "有人" (my "有人" include first century jews (for jews, the "古書" was OT) and christians)

-i tried also to answer why evangelicals believe the bible to be the word of God (the logic that follows this believe is not the subject of my discussion)

-denial of error in parts of the bible which obviously contradict modern scientific findings as a result of a high view of the bible is unreasonable

that is happening, conservatives equate their literal interpretation as the "word of god" itself and reject evolution, and argue for rejection of evolution by recklessly distorting it
