Hmm...that's a bit like saying that if I eat my meal now, and do not know that I cannot eat the same thing in the future, then later I will view this meal as not gratifying. (This part is going out there a bit but) we have a strange way of trying to hold the world hostage with our a)either deeming something bad because it didn't go the way that we determined in our wisdom that it should and b)we try to hold our connection with others through words, promises, compromise, and hooks rather than letting it come and go at will, giving it our best when it is there and trusting that if it is meant to be there then as the old seventies poster goes, it will return.
Love is hard work at best. It is a relationship with ourselves manifest in the outside world. The work is the gift, the coming to know myself in the presence of another. It, for me, is not about the gooey feelings or the security but rather a person (or people) with whom I can see my compliment in any moment.
