In reply to: Kurai 's message, "all right" on 11:05:46 06/13/04 Sun

Remembering her weapon, she made her way to the other side of the room as quickly as she could and pulled her dagger from the body of the crossbowman who had shot her. Then she was running, in a sort of half-crippled, but still agile, lope after Kurai with as much speed as she could muster. She hoped desperately that he was alright, but also knew he could take care of himself with no trouble. Two more guards, alerted by the cry of that gods-cursed mage, were dashing up the large staircase. Her expression grim, Vysaere crouched and nailed the first in the throat with a dagger from a hidden sheath on the back of her neck. His companion approached with more caution, but it was not enough to save his life. The female catling tripped him neatly and plunged the long dagger between his shoulder blades in one sinuous, lightning-fast motion. It was taking every ounce of her iron strength of body and will to keep going. The way seemed relatively clear, so she resumed her chase after her partner...and for escape. She caught up with him finally, only because he had paused to wait outside a large window on the ground floor. Together they shoved it open and leaped out of the castle.
